The Bar & Bar Rota
Bar Opening Times
The bar is informally open every evening when tennis is being played (eg matches, coaching). On Friday, the club operates a bar rota as this is usually a busy time for general socialising.
The bar closes at 11.00 pm Monday to Thursday and Sunday and at midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
Late Summer Ball
PLTC's premier black tie event usually takes place in a marquee in the club grounds, featuring good food, live music, fantastic prizes and some serious entertainment. However, due to the proposed courts and clubhouse developments and the likelihood that the club will not be accessible, this year's Late Summer Ball will take place in the Masonic Hall (Stanwell Road, Penarth) on Saturday 22nd September.
Clubhouse Hire
Hiring the Clubhouse
Members can hire the clubhouse for a personal social function, providing it does not conflict with tennis activities (such as matches, coaching etc). If the bar is to be used for the sale of alcoholic drinks, then there is no charge. If the bar is not used, (eg for a children's party) then there is a £25 fee payable.
Note that it is the member's responsibility to leave the clubhouse clean and tidy after the event.
To request clubhouse hire, complete a clubhouse hire form and submit it to the Secretary.
